We’re proud to announce that Hidden Pond Tree Farm’s own Emma Nicholson earned the top spot in the 2016 New Jersey Christmas Tree Growers Association Annual Contest, placing first in the table top division for growing the award-winning Meyer Spruce. The NJCTA’s contest is open to both children and adults, with Emma edging out some of the most experienced growers.
As a winning team, Emma and dad, Chris Nicholson, took second place in the Spruce Division. Growing up on the family farm has helped Emma learn what it takes to plant and nurture Christmas trees to their full potential, instilling the time-honored values of traditional of family farming.
She’s inspired a whole new category of “tiny trees” for the 2016 season, so look for our special row of tagged trees offered this year – just for kids!
